DID RUSSIA FULLY  BELIEVE HILLARY WAS GOING TO BE PRESIDENT?

The Trump/Russia collusion theory makes sense only if Trump had had a snowball's chance in Hell of becoming President.  No one believed he had that chance, so it would make little sense for Russia (or anyone else for that matter) to expend resources to swing the election in his direction.  Making up as many as 40 points would seemingly be an impossible task, especially since Trump was killing his own chances in the eyes of many.

But if Russia wanted to compromise the Presidency of the presumed winner, Hillary Clinton, hacking her un-secured email server and that of the DNC would make perfect sense.  She already showed herself willing to sell her office for favors, so what would stop her from bowing to pressure from a foreign government to keep her secrets from becoming public?

From Dan Fendel:

"Allow me to paraphrase a former attorney general’s interesting hypothesis about the indictment of a dozen Russian agents involved in hacking Democrats’ emails and specifically Hillary Clinton’s private and very vulnerable server.
"He observed that the Russians are very intelligent and adept at spying, yet here they left their fingerprints all over the place. Why?
"Could it be the Russians expected that Hillary Clinton would be elected? In hacking her private server, did they find things that they felt would compromise her Presidency after the election, notably emails regarding her past official actions and the Clinton Foundation? Leaving those ‘fingerprints’ would be chilling proof to President Clinton that Russians discovered and knew her ‘secrets’....
It’s a harrowing thought..."
