Democrats are calling for the abolition of ICE, in response to their own manufactured crisis along our southern border. While they holler long and loud about families being separated, they completely ignore very necessary reasons for these separations - a great many of these families aren't families at all. The "parents" are often drug dealers, pedophiles, human traffickers, and other criminals who bring children with them as camouflage. Under the Obama-era Catch-and-Release program, most of these criminals would have been allowed to disappear into the general population. ICE doesn't just help insure they don't get away, it conducts important law enforcement operations all over the country.
"What we’re dealing with is human smugglers who traffic individuals, usually in dangerous conditions...These smugglers are typically with cartels; Customs and Border Protection spokesman Mike Friel told CNN that the cartels 'have a stranglehold on the Mexican side of the border and control much of the land' in July of 2017, after 10 illegal immigrants died in the back of a semi truck when they had no air to breathe."

The opposition to ICE has more to do with the Left's hatred of President Donald Trump as anything else. These types of operations occurred under Barack Obama, but the Liberal mainstream media didn't report them. Now that Trump is President, the dishonest media makes it a shrill anti-Trump rallying cry for their easily manipulated, emotionally immature, and intellectually stunted Liberal followers.
